Scene 2 Almost Finished

I am now on the final shots of the second scene and its looking pretty good, and it has some mild humor at the moment. Suprisingly the scene is only 30 seconds long right now but it should get to around a minute when its done. I really dont work on this too much but when I do, I sit down for atleast an hour and a can bang out 10 seconds worth depending on the scene. If I get the time this scene could be done by the end of the week.

Here are some shots I did just now. Its kinda sadistic humor but I think it works for a predator parody, I'll have to wait and see:

Predator Blades - Re-vamp

Thanks to Ross who commented on the predator blades I have adjusted them to better suit what they looked like in the movies. For one, the blades arnt cloaked when extended (which I didnt know until Ross told me) and also That they are nearly double the length I drew them at, so here are the fixed up blades:

More fitting, no?

Holidays over, Back to work.

Well my 2 week break is now over and I'm back doing my film course. I didnt do as much as I wanted to on lolpredators but I still got quite a bit done. Scene two is more than half done now and alot of it was done today and yesterday. At the moment the scene has no jokes but it does have alot of action. I'm making this scene not really for comedy but really so I can just show some alien vs predator vs marine action that a bet a few people would want to see at least once in this cartoon. Heres a little peak:

Scene 2 underway

Ive been pretty lazy and havent worked on lolpredators for a week so today I got stuck into starting the second scene. Heres a little preview look at what ive done so far.

Homemade Dolly and Stedicam Test

A few months back I made a dolly out of a peice of wood, some wheels and some PVC pipe and also a Steadicam out of galvanised pipe. I made a test to see how well they work. I used a scene from my short film script as refference:

"INT. HOUSE MIDDAY
The house is empty. Sounds echo from all corners. Sounds
of footsteps and whispering voices wander around the
house. Both Owen’s and Jordan’s bedroom doors creak open,
hold still for a moment then slam shut simultaneously."

I figured this is a good thing to upload to my blog even though it was made a couple months ago. Im trying to figure out how I am going to make the full short film but I still have more tests to do.

Ive now done the first scene and have made it presentable. This is just one scene/joke out of around 10. I really need your input on this so please leave a comment telling me if its funny or not and if you can, leave some constructive feedback. If I dont get any feedback I wont see the point in even having a blog anymore and will probably shut this down so if you like watching my stuff please comment.

Updated Predator Vision

Heres a little update I made to the predator heat vision. I updated because someone commented saying that the original heat vision was a bit unconvincing so you can see how your comments make such a big difference. Comments are what I rely on to make the best possible movie.

Holidays!!! - Time to get to work.

I got two weeks off my film course at north sydney for easter and I plan to make the most of it. Ill try to get a clip of 'lolpredators' up here sometime next week but I had a major virus on my computer and had to re-install windows so I need a bit a of time to get everything sorted again. Lucky I didnt loose my work though :S

Also I received my guitar today but I still need some adaptors to be able to record music to my computer. Once thats done perhaps Ill make a music video with some music I compose as a test.
